STATE TESTING VOCABULARY REVIEW

Cumulative: Something that increases or grows by adding things together over time.
Sentence: A cumulative exam will test students on all the material covered in the semester.

Defend: To argue in support of something, or explaining why they are right or justified.
Sentence: In Science, you will need to defend your hypothesis.

Demonstrate: To show or prove something clearly, by providing examples or explanations, or illustrating with visuals
Sentence: In the exam, demonstrate your point by making a valid argument and give examples.

Depict: Creating a picture or describing it in words to that creates a representation for another person.
Sentence: The author depicts a life in the future.
